For this reason, a patent or utility model attached to\u00a0 a document in Turkey, provides protection only in Turkey. If protection of the invention is requested in other countries too, patent offices of the requested countries should be applied for registration<\/p>\n<p>Convention within 1 year as of the date of application made in Turkey,\u00a0 and preemptive rights are demanded during this application, the applications and the obtained patents of the third person\u00a0 for the same invention between the date of application in Turkey and application date made to other countries, shall be deemed as void.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Make a Patent Application in Abroad<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Basically, patent application in abroad can be made in three forms.<\/p>\n<p>Classic Patent: It should be preferred in cases where the protection is limited to only 2-3 countries.<\/p>\n<p>PCT (Patent Cooperation Agreement): It should be preferred if patent protection is requested in many countries.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>EPC (European Patent Convention): It should be preferred only if European protection is considered.<\/p>\n<p>If you wish, you can get detailed information from our experts.<\/p>\n<p>Who can apply to PCT?<\/p>\n<p>Inventors or companies who want to make a patent application can apply directly to WIPO or they can apply through the national offices of the member countries.
